49. Backup 3 steps - Dog Stays In Position
While heeling, the handler reverses direction walking backward 3 step, without first stopping, then continues heeling forward. The dog moves backward with the handler and maintains heel position throughout the exercise without sitting.
Some Common Performance Errors:
• the dog becomes excessively crooked in his/her attempt to back up by the rear end flaring out
• the dog sits while backing up
• the dog lags as the handler changes directions
• the handler takes the wrong number of steps backward
